Solomon and the phone!!

Today's Homeschool lesson talked about the wisdom of King Solomon and his choice to have wisdom over riches and a long life. Weston was very interested and he even mentioned he would choose wisdom too. I personally think he would trade wisdom for all the Star Wars toys in Walmart but I may be wrong!!! We have yellow Bible notebooks where the boys draw pictures of the different stories and that is just what we did today. Weston was working with gusto and I asked what he was drawing and he said " I am drawing King Solomon and his phone." Now I am all about letting a kid color out of the lines and be creative but I just couldn't leave that one alone. I explained to him that of course there were no phones in that day and age. He was very frustrated and said "MOM all kings have phones...you know phones...like they sit on their phones." I could help but burst out laughing obviously he was trying to draw a throne. Jackson in the meantime had drawn a picture, wrote his summary and was on to writing his Proverb. He could do a whole backpack full of work in the time Weston got done with one mainly because Weston talks in between every sentence and Jackson has very good fine motor skills. Gibson on the other hand was singing down the hall, Climbing up and down the step stool, letting the dog out and coloring on Jackson's paper. Pretty much a normal day around this crazy house!!!
